To Whom It May Concern:

The Westmont Lions Club is proud to announce the 2026 Westmont Lions Club James Addington Memorial Scholarship. The annual scholarship will be awarded to six high school seniors who live in Westmont or attend Westmont High School. The scholarship has been set up as an annual award to honor those students who participate in extra activities at their school and community and are leaders amongst their peers while maintaining a respectable GPA. The scholarship is not limited to college only. Any continuing education program beyond high school will be considered.

The Westmont Lions Club has set up basic criteria for a student to apply:

   Maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average
   Service to their school and community
   Leadership/Character

A senior who wishes to apply needs to complete a scholarship application, giving as many details as possible.  Transcripts and letters of recommendation are not required but encouraged.

Scholarship money will be awarded as follows:

   1 - $1,000 Scholarship
   1 - $700 Scholarship
   4 - $300 Scholarships


The Lions Club will present the awards at the school awards ceremony if appropriate. The application deadline for the 2025 Scholarship is Friday, April 10, 2026 @ 4:00 PM.  Scholarship finalists will be invited to a student presentation dinner in April.  Date for the presentation is TBD.  Applications must be submitted electronically via this form, or by mail to the address information below.
